Cookes Thatch Bar is one of Galway's oldest pubs. We are located in the West end of Galway City a 5 minute walk from the centre of the City. Cookes has been welcoming customers through its doors for hundreds of years. 

At Cookes you have three bar areas to choose from, the main bar located under the Thatch roof, our comfortable snug bar and the spacious lounge. 

The Wednesday Night Session

Live music can be heard at Cookes  Wednesday to Sunday with the Galway Ramblers on Wednesday nights and the Molly Hicks on a Sunday. Don't forget drink promos on Mondays with 40 cent off all pints.
